Important Note (September, 2012) - I have submitted an essay to a competition on the foundations of physical reality. It explains how matter and fields are just two different ways that space vibrates. It is very simple and obvious once understood, has profound consequences for humanity, our sense of self in the universe knowing that we vibrate with everything around us. Please read it, rate it, and I will reply to all comments. Thanks, Geoff haselhurst (11th Sept. 2012)
I realise that there are a lot of 'crackpot' theories about truth and reality
on the internet, but it is easy to show that the Wave Structure of Matter
is the correct solution as it deduces the laws
of Nature (the fundamentals of Physics & Philosophy)
perfectly (there are no opinions). While the Wave Structure of Matter is obvious
once known, to begin it will seem strange simply because it takes time
for our minds to adjust to new knowledge.
For those who are religious
/ spiritual, I think Albert
Einstein expresses the enlightened view of God. He writes 'I believe
in Spinoza's God who reveals himself in the orderly harmony of what exists,
not in a God who concerns himself with the fates and actions of human beings.' This harmony arises from a Wave Structure of Matter in Space (we are all
interconnected in this space that we all commonly experience). This unity
of reality (God, Brahman, Tao, Spirit, Energy, Light, Vibration) is central
to all major world religions, thus their common moral
foundation of 'Do unto others as to thyself' as the other is part of
the self.

Deforestation and Settlement in Bolivia & Brazil / Amazon
Basin

Human Impact on Environment: These satellite
pictures of Bolivia (left) and of the Rondonia region of Brazil, south-central
Amazon Basin, (right) shows obvious human habitation in the forms of massive
deforestation and urbanization.
Aerosols / Pollution Over the Indian Sub-continent
Environmental Pollution: This satellite picture
acquired over the Indian sub-continent on March 2, 2000, shows the high concentration
of aerosol particles in the atmosphere (pollution is brownish pixels just south
of the Himalayas) associated with a dense population and industrial emissions.
Africa's Disappearing Lake Chad
Irrigation / Water Problems: Lake Chad, once
one of the African continent's largest bodies of fresh water, has dramatically
decreased in size due to climate change and human demand for water. Once a
great lake close in surface area to North America's Lake Erie, Lake Chad is
now a ghost of its former self. According to a study by University of Wisconsin-Madison
researchers, working with NASA's Earth Observing System program, the lake is
now 1/20th of the size it was 35 years ago.
Found at the intersection of four different countries in West Africa (Chad,
Niger, Nigeria, and Cameroon), Lake Chad has been the source of water for massive
irrigation projects. In addition, the region has suffered from an increasingly
dry climate, experiencing a significant decline in rainfall since the early
1960s.
The most dramatic decrease in the size of the lake is shown in the fifteen
years between January 1973 and January 1987. Beginning in 1983 the amount of
water used for irrigation began to increase. Ultimately, between 1983 and 1994,
the amount of water diverted for purposes of irrigation quadrupled from the
amount used in the previous 25 years. The red color denotes vegetation on the
lake bed and the ripples on the western edge of the lake denote sand dunes
formed by the wind.
The bottom picture is a composite of Landsat-7 images from November 2000 to
February 2001 showing the present stage of Lake Chad. The small patch of blue
that is now the lake stands in stark contrast to the wide swath of the old
lake bed (shown in green, indicating vegetation).
Eastern China Pollution
Air Pollution: The environmental pollution
problem of eastern China. Beijing has completely disappeared under the haze.
Space Radar Image of Oil Slicks
Polluting
the Oceans: This is a radar image of an offshore drilling field
about 150 km (93 miles) west of Bombay, India, in the Arabian Sea.
The dark streaks are extensive oil slicks surrounding many of
the drilling platforms, which appear as bright white spots. Radar images are
useful for detecting and measuring the extent of oil seepages on the ocean
surface, from both natural and industrial sources. The long, thin streaks extending
from many of the platforms are spreading across the sea surface, pushed by
local winds. The larger dark patches are dispersed slicks that were likely
discharged earlier than the longer streaks, when the winds were probably from
a different direction. The dispersed oil will eventually spread out over the
more dense water and become a layer which is a single molecule thick. Many
forms of oil, both from biological and from petroleum sources, smooth out the
ocean surface, causing the area to appear dark in radar images.
There are also two forms of ocean waves shown in this image.
The dominant group of large waves (upper center) are called internal waves.
These waves are formed below the ocean surface at the boundary between layers
of warm and cold water and they appear in the radar image because of the way
they change the ocean surface. Ocean swells, which are waves generated by winds,
are shown throughout the image but are most distinct in the blue area adjacent
to the internal waves. Identification of waves provide oceanographers with
information about the smaller scale dynamic processes of the ocean.

"When
forced to summarize the general theory of relativity in one sentence:
Time and space and gravitation have no separate existence from matter.
... Physical objects are not in space, but these objects are spatially
extended. In this way the concept 'empty space' loses its meaning.
... The particle can only appear as a limited region in space in which
the field strength or the energy density are particularly high. ...
The free, unhampered exchange of ideas and scientific conclusions
is necessary for the sound development of science, as it is in all spheres
of cultural life. ... We must not conceal from ourselves that
no improvement in the present depressing situation is possible without
a severe struggle; for the handful of those who are really determined
to do something is minute in comparison with the mass of the lukewarm
and the misguided. ... Humanity is going to need a substantially new way of thinking
if it is to survive!" (Albert Einstein)
This is the profound new way of thinking that Einstein
realised, that we exist as spatially extended structures of the universe
- the discrete and separate body an illusion. This simply confirms the
intuitions of the ancient
philosophers and mystics.

Given the current censorship in physics / philosophy of science journals (based on the standard model of particle physics / big bang cosmology) the internet is the best hope for getting new knowledge known to the world. But that depends on you, the people who care about science and society, realise the importance of truth and reality.
