Introduction - The Metaphysical Foundations of Chakras

Chakras, as the wheel in Motion about its Center and the flow of Energy, can be simply understood with the Metaphysics of Space and the Wave Structure of Matter. The solution lies in discarding the concept that matter is a discrete particle. Spherical standing waves in Space explains the subtle resonant connections between matter - these resonant patterns being recognised as the Chakras.

This may make more sense if you read the following quote with knowledge of WSM (see links to main articles on left of page);

The word Chakra is Sanskrit and signifies a wheel. ... The chakras or force-centers are points of connection at which energy flows from one vehicle or body of a man to another. ... All these wheels are perpetually rotating, and into the hub or open mouth of each a force from the higher world is always flowing – a manifestation of the life-stream issuing from the Second Aspect of the Solar Logos – which we call the primary force.

That force is sevenfold in its nature, and all its forms operate in each of these centers, although one of them in each case usually predominated over the others. Without this inrush of energy the physical body could not exist. Therefore the centers are in operation in every one, although in the undeveloped person they are usually in comparatively sluggish motion, just forming the necessary vortex for the force, and no more. In a more evolved man they may be glowing and pulsating with living light, so that an enormously greater amount of energy passes through them, with the result that there are additional faculties and possibilities open to that man. (C.W. Leadbeater, The Chakras)

We hope you enjoy the following articles on Chakras and that the Wave Structure of Matter helps your understanding of energy flow, resonance and interconnection.

The Chakras

The word Chakra is Sanskrit and signifies a wheel. It is also used in various subsidiary, derivative and symbolical senses, just as is its English equivalent; as we might speak of the wheel of fate, so does the Buddhist speak of the wheel of life and death; and he describes that first great sermon in which the Buddha propounded His doctrine as the Dhammachakkappavattana Sutta (chakka being the Pali equivalent for the Sanskrit chakra) which Professor Rhys Davids poetically renders as ‘to set rolling the royal chariot-wheel of a universal empire of truth and righteousness.’ (C.W. Leadbeater, The Chakras)

The chakras or force-centers are points of connection at which energy flows from one vehicle or body of a man to another. (C.W. Leadbeater, The Chakras)

This divine energy which pours into each center from without sets up at right angels to itself (that is to say, in the surface of the etheric double) secondary forces in undulatory circular motion, just as a bar-magnet thrust into an induction coil produces a current of electricity which flows round the coil at right angels to the axis or direction of the magnet. The primary force itself, having entered the vortex, radiates from it again at right angels, but in straight lines, as though the center of the vortex were the hub of a wheel, and the radiations of the primary force its spokes. By means of these spokes the force seems to bind the astral and etheric bodies together as though with grappling-hooks. The number of these spokes differs in the different force-centers, and determines the number of waves or petals which each of them exhibits. Because of this these centers have often been poetically described in Oriental books as resembling flowers. (C.W. Leadbeater, The Chakras)

In the Hindu ascent of the sushumna, the chakras of the lower centers are identified, respectively, as of the elements of Earth, Water and Fire, the associated divinities being the Brahma the creator, Vishnu as Preserver and Lover, and Shiva as the Destroyer of Obstructions to Illumination. (Campbell, The Inner Reaches of Outer Space, p. 102)

Metaphysics of the Chakras

The following article is from James Clair Lewis.
http://www.jamesclairlewis.com/pages/metaphysics/metaphysics.html

As is often the case where things are only partly understood, the original article (which I have edited) tends to drift into idealism, but the underlying truth, that One thing exists (God / Reality / Aether / Space) is important. If you read it with the Wave Structure of Matter in mind I think you will appreciate the metaphysical truths about Chakras. I have added a few comments to his text. I understand that James is now re-writing the following article from the foundations of the Wave Structure of Matter (which is very encouraging).
Geoff Haselhurst (GH)

God is Reality & Reality is God. There is no beginning or end to Reality. God encompasses all directions & conditions. The three attributes of Consciousness, Form, & Substance, permeate all of Reality. Consciousness is the organizing quality of God. The arrangements of molecules in a crystal is an example of consciousness in so-called dead matter. Consciousness manifests through Form. All shapes are, in fact, fields of energy. The organs of the human body take their shapes from fields of very subtle energies which allow us as Spiritual Beings to exist in the material universe. Substance is that which is organized by Consciousness & shaped by its Forms. Substance permeates Reality. There is no Void or Emptiness. Matter is created in the physical plane where the field energies of the higher planes intersect. The ancients called this basic substance the Aether.
Just as Infinity contains the finite within it, so does Reality contain many different universes.

GH - This is correct, each 'particle', as the Wave-Center of a Spherical Standing Wave, determines the size of its Universe within an Infinite Space. We are each the centers of our own universe because matter and universe are one.

Our universe operates according to seven Cosmic Laws which can be described separately, but which interact & function in the World together.

The first of the Seven Cosmic Laws of our Universe is known as Parallelism

(GH - The Interconnection of Matter as Spherical Standing Waves with all other matter in the Universe / Space)

All phenomena exist in parallel with each other & have correspondences between them. "As Above, So Below." Everything is connected to everything else, in one fashion or another. This is known as Oneness. Patterns of manifestation on a Transcendental level have correspondences in the lower Planes of our Universe. Because of Parallelism, it is possible to reason from one event to the next, or to develop language which describes the world we live in. We can learn much about God by studying Nature, & by knowing God, we can discern the operation of any field of knowledge.

The second of the Seven Cosmic Laws is Polarity

(GH - In Waves and Out Waves, In Phase and Opposite Phase Waves)

Everything has its opposite, & opposites manifest with a spectrum of polarities between them. Land has valleys as well as mountains. Magnets have opposite poles. People possess varying degrees of strength, intelligence & wisdom. Yin is complemented by Yang. Harmony is achieved by establishing & maintaining equilibrium between opposing forces. The interaction of Parallelism with Polarity results in the phenomena of reflections. Just as a mirror absorbs, refracts, & distorts the light that it reflects, so also can the reflections of Truth be very murky indeed! Supreme clarity of mind is required to discern what is actually real.

The third of the Seven Cosmic Laws is Motion

(GH - Matter as the Spherical Wave Motion of Space.)

Movement is inherent in the fact of Creation. The interaction of the Cosmic Laws is a dynamic motion which generates the patterns of Life. Everything is moving. There are no static conditions within our Universe. Space & time exist because of motion. At great acceleration or in close proximity to great concentrations of mass, time slows down, & space contracts. Once a thing has been set into motion, it will continue its course forever unabated, unless another force is brought to bear upon it: either changing its trajectory, type of motion, or altering its nature. This is the principle of inertia which guides all kinds of motion whether physical or spiritual.

The fourth of the Seven Cosmic Laws is Oscillation

(GH - Wave Motion is a repeating / cyclical oscillation of Space.)

All phenomena oscillate according to the qualities of their motions. Oscillation along a basically straight trajectory is known as vibration. Oscillation along a basically circular trajectory is called a cycle. The various frequencies of Light & sound are said to vibrate, while the cycle of the four seasons is created by the Earth's orbit around the Sun at an angle. The repeating cycle of Life & Death is known as reincarnation. However, from a Transcendental perspective, the total of your incarnations may be as events in a single life, like a succession of days & nights. Great power can be obtained through the mastery of vibration in the fields of thought, & sublime insight can be attained through the understanding of the patterns & rhythms of Life.

The fifth of the Seven Cosmic Laws is Attraction

(GH - i. e. Charge and Light - Caused by changes in the velocity of Waves due to their Wave-Amplitudes,which can either Combine or Cancel depending on their phase.)

Positive attracts negative. Motion along the spectrum between opposite polarities proceeds from the negative towards the positive. Lightning is a good example of this in the world of nature. In human life there is the evolution from ignorance towards knowledge. We all grow from experience ..... at least we do, if we are to survive. The attraction of negative toward positive generates a great deal of friction, competition, & struggle (entropy). This is neither good nor bad ..... it is simply the way of this world. Severe conflict can be eased by equalizing or balancing the power of opposing forces. It is also true that things possessing the same qualities of polarity & vibration tend to repel each other. From this arises individuality which is a reflection of the Oneness of Transcendental Infinity into the finite reality of the World of Nature.

The sixth of the Seven Cosmic Laws is Gravity

(GH - The slowing of In-Wave Velocity through Space with more Matter / mass-energy density of space.)

Things which are in harmony, gravitate together. It is a phenomena of attunement, & with things that are in harmony, what affects one, will affect the other in the same way. Consider the process of tuning a guitar: when a string is set at the correct pitch, it will sound or vibrate when you strike the tuning fork. Mass determines the degree of gravitation between material objects, but it is the force of thought which can be used to gravitate desired conditions into your life. Be aware of how you think: dwelling upon disaster or things that you fear, has an equal power of gravitation as positive thinking. To know the Truth, you must embody it in your life, then you will be able to recognize Truth wherever it may be. Attunement with the Divine Mind (the Seven Cosmic Laws) will enable you to perceive the Ultimate Principles of Reality, & receive Divine Knowledge concerning all things.

Karma, the last of the Seven Cosmic Laws is the culmination of the previous six

(GH - Karma is Necessary Interconnection of all matter in the Universe due to the Spherical In and Out Waves in One Space.)

It is known as Karma: the law of cause & effect. Every cause has its effect, & every action brings its reaction. What you do, will come back to you. This implies that the nature of the Universe is cyclical, & that every beginning results in an ending which forms the basis for a new beginning. ... You may or may not be responsible for the hand that Life has dealt you, but you are responsible for how you play it.
Within you exist (at least potentially) all of Qualities & Powers of the Creator. The seven Chakras or great energy channels within you correspond directly with the Seven Cosmic Laws of our Universe. As you evolve Spiritually, these channels will open up, & the Cosmic energy will flow through you. While Insight comes in a flash, Wisdom accumulates gradually. It requires the patience, perseverance, & dedication of a lifetime to attain. This is known as the Mastery of Life! Now go, and live your life, and live it well, with kindness & good humour. Be creative, and always remember that what makes it all happen is Love.

What is a Chakra?

The Chakras - Understand the inner causes to outer symptoms. An explanation of the chakras, and their role in understanding the interactions between the body and the consciousness within.

Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning wheel, or vortex, and it refers to each of the seven energy centers of which our consciousness, our energy system, is composed.
These chakras, or energy centers, function as pumps or valves, regulating the flow of energy through our energy system. The functioning of the chakras reflects decisions we make concerning how we choose to respond to conditions in our life. We open and close these valves when we decide what to think, and what to feel, and through which perceptual filter we choose to experience the world around us.

The chakras are not physical. They are aspects of consciousness in the same way that the auras are aspects of consciousness. The chakras are more dense than the auras, but not as dense as the physical body. They interact with the physical body through two major vehicles, the endocrine system and the nervous system. Each of the seven chakras is associated with one of the seven endocrine glands, and also with a group of nerves called a plexus. Thus, each chakra can be associated with particular parts of the body and particular functions within the body controlled by that plexus or that endocrine gland associated with that chakra.

All of your senses, all of your perceptions, all of your possible states of awareness, everything it is possible for you to experience, can be divided into seven categories. Each category can be associated with a particular chakra. Thus, the chakras represent not only particular parts of your physical body, but also particular parts of your consciousness.

When you feel tension in your consciousness, you feel it in the chakra associated with that part of your consciousness experiencing the stress, and in the parts of the physical body associated with that chakra. Where you feel the stress depends upon why you feel the stress. The tension in the chakra is detected by the nerves of the plexus associated with that chakra, and transmitted to the parts of the body controlled by that plexus. When the tension continues over a period of time, or to a particular level of intensity, the person creates a symptom on the physical level.

The symptom speaks a language that reflects the idea that we each create our reality, and the metaphoric significance of the symptom becomes apparent when the symptom is described from that point of view. Thus, rather than saying, "I can't see," the person would describe it as keeping themselves from seeing something. "I can't walk," means the person has been keeping themselves from walking away from a situation in which they are unhappy. And so on.

The symptom served to communicate to the person through their body what they had been doing to themselves in their consciousness. When the person changes something about their way of being, getting the message communicated by the symptom, the symptom has no further reason for being, and it can be released, according to whatever the person allows themselves to believe is possible.

We believe everything is possible. We believe that anything can be healed. It's just a question of how to do it. Understanding the chakras allows you to understand the relationship between your consciousness and your body, and to thus see your body as a map of your consciousness. It gives you a better understanding of yourself and those around you.

GH - I think it is extreme to say everything can be healed, but certainly there is a fundamental connection between the mind, body and universe, and how we think definitely affects our health - as the placebo affect proves. And it does greatly help by visualising your true self as a Wave Structure of the universe rather than being caught up in the naive real illusion of discrete 'particles' and thus discrete and separate bodies.

http://www.rainbowremedy.co.uk/ - From the website: 'We live in a world where fragmentation and separation are very easy to notice. Many thousands of years ago ‘rainbows’ were a critical and important tool to aiding a clearer comprehension into the subtle unity of our own existence by examining the simple qualities of light during its projection. Initially highlighting the fact separation and change are apparent only on the screen, and nowhere else. Indicating that behind fragmentation, there invariably lies unity. Or what some like to call a singular source, or oneness.
By comparing a human being to a rainbow ancient Eastern mysticism arrived at the concept of seven ‘chakras’ that correspond to the seven colours of a rainbow that align our body from the groin to the head. By quite literally sliding a rainbow, over a person and watching very carefully what this analogy could teach us. Encouraging us initially to realise that human beings may also have a ‘life beneath the surface’ and an intrinsic unity, in the same way rainbows do.'

Albert Einstein"When forced to summarize the general theory of relativity in one sentence: Time and space and gravitation have no separate existence from matter. ... Physical objects are not in space, but these objects are spatially extended. In this way the concept 'empty space' loses its meaning. ... The particle can only appear as a limited region in space in which the field strength or the energy density are particularly high. ...
The free, unhampered exchange of ideas and scientific conclusions is necessary for the sound development of science, as it is in all spheres of cultural life. ... We must not conceal from ourselves that no improvement in the present depressing situation is possible without a severe struggle; for the handful of those who are really determined to do something is minute in comparison with the mass of the lukewarm and the misguided. ...
Humanity is going to need a substantially new way of thinking if it is to survive!" (Albert Einstein)

Biography: Geoffrey Haselhurst, Philosopher of Science, Theoretical Physics, Metaphysics, Evolution. Our world is in great trouble due to human behaviour founded on myths and customs that are causing the destruction of Nature and climate change. We can now deduce the most simple science theory of reality - the wave structure of matter in space. By understanding how we and everything around us are interconnected in Space we can then deduce solutions to the fundamental problems of human knowledge in physics, philosophy, metaphysics, theology, education, health, evolution and ecology, politics and society.

This is the profound new way of thinking that Einstein realised, that we exist as spatially extended structures of the universe - the discrete and separate body an illusion. This simply confirms the intuitions of the ancient philosophers and mystics.

Given the current censorship in physics / philosophy of science journals (based on the standard model of particle physics / big bang cosmology) the internet is the best hope for getting new knowledge known to the world. But that depends on you, the people who care about science and society, realise the importance of truth and reality.
