The Ancient Greek Philosopher, Socrates, was famously (and tragically)
condemned to death for 'corrupting the youth'. His crime was in fact,
for educating people to truth and philosophy and pointing out their ignorance.
Below is the famous painting, The Death of Socrates, by Jacques Louis
David (1787) which captures this scene.
